HilliArts is a dance school. This app helps our young dancers practice, set goals, and celebrate their progress. We keep it simple and we protect your family's information.
1. Who this is for
The app is for dancers whose parents or guardians have joined with a code from HilliArts. A grown-up signs the family in with their email. We do not let children create accounts on their own.
2. What we collect
- Family email address, used to sign in and to send you messages from the studio.
- Dancer's first name and an optional nickname. We ask for first names or nicknames only.
- Progress in the app: check-ins, skills practiced, bows earned, goals, and growth journal and reverence entries.
- Community posts: short, positive notes and cheers a dancer shares with other BluElites.
- A grown-up PIN that protects check-in and settings.
- Time used in the app each day, so we can keep screen time healthy.
We do not collect photos, home addresses, phone numbers, or exact location through the app.
3. How we use it
- To let your family sign in and keep your dancer's progress saved.
- To let the teacher see how each dancer is doing and to support them in class.
- To send emails: sign-in codes, bow updates, welcome notes, and monthly progress reports.
- To keep the community kind and safe. The teacher can hide any post.
We do not sell your information. We do not show ads. We do not track your family across other websites or apps.
4. Who can see it
- Your family can see your own dancer's information.
- HilliArts teachers can see dancer progress and community posts.
- Community notes show a dancer's first name or nickname to other BluElite dancers who have joined.
5. Services we use
We rely on trusted companies to run the app. They handle information only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase for sign-in and for storing the app's data.
- Cloudflare for hosting the app.
- Resend for sending email.
The app also saves some settings on your own phone so it works smoothly, including when your connection is slow.
6. Children
This app is meant for young dancers, and a parent or guardian is in charge of the account. We collect only what the app needs to work. A parent or guardian may ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete their dancer's information, or to stop collecting it.
7. Keeping and deleting information
We keep information while your dancer is part of HilliArts. If you leave, or at any time you ask, we will remove your dancer and delete the information connected to them.
8. Safety
We protect information with secure connections and with sign-in rules that limit who can see what. No system is perfect, so please keep your PIN private.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell families by email.
